Roots of Al-Dhawat General Trading Company was established in 1958 by the late Hajj Abdul Amir Al-Saadi.
Where he opened the first store for trading sanitary and construction materials on Rashid Street - Bab Al-Agha Market

In 1971, the business moved to Al-Kifah Street, and the company became an agent for both the General Company for Trading Construction Materials and the General Company for Trading Iron and Wood.

Since the 1970s, the founder's sons joined the business, led by Hussein Abdul Amir and his brother Ali Abdul Amir, who played a pivotal role in expanding the business. By the late 1970s and early 1980s, the company expanded into foreign trade, importing from Britain, Japan, Korea, India, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Turkey, and Kuwait.

In 1995, the headquarters was expanded and built with multiple floors. After 2003, with the complete transfer of the import system in Iraq to the private sector, the company embarked on a new phase of direct imports from China and other countries.

In 2005, the company contributed to the establishment of Ramz Al-SABIC Company for trading in construction materials and hand tools.

In 2008, Al-Dawat General Trading Company (Limited Liability Company) was officially established, followed in 2010 by the opening of a second branch in the Bob Al-Sham Industrial Zone, with an area of ​​1,000 square meters spread over three floors. In 2014, it was expanded by adding another 1,000 square meters, bringing its total area to 2,000 square meters across four floors, including a sales center and main warehouses.

At this stage, the third generation of the family joined the development process, with Mustafa and Mahmoud, sons of Hussein Abdul Amir, and Hassan and Hussein, sons of Ali Abdul Amir. They contributed to the introduction of modern sales systems and the development of business practices across the region.
In 2019, the Al-Kifah branch expanded to include several buildings with a total area of ​​500 square meters across four floors, bringing the total company area across the Bob Al-Sham and Al-Kifah branches to approximately 2,500 square meters spread over eight floors.

Today, after more than six decades of experience spanning three generations, Al-Dhawat General Trading Company continues its journey to become a trusted partner in the construction materials, hand and power tools, and sanitary and electrical installations sector.
